How the Iron Breaker III Works
Air Bubble Oxidation
Your well pressure compresses a bubble of air inside the media tank. As water passes through this compressed air, dissolved iron and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) are converted from dissolved gases into solid particles through natural oxidation. No chemicals needed.
Catalytic Media Filtration
The oxidized iron and sulfur particles are then trapped by the catalytic filter media bed inside the tank. Clean, odor-free, iron-free water flows out to every faucet in your home. The air bubble is gradually consumed by the passing water.
Automatic Backwash Cycle
For regeneration, the unit first "backwashes" itself, flushing out all trapped iron and sulfur particles down the drain. This self-cleaning cycle keeps the media bed fresh and operating at peak efficiency without any manual maintenance.
Air Bubble Recharge
The system then replenishes the air bubble by drawing in atmosphere, temporarily emptying the tank of all water and transferring oxygen molecules into and on the surface of the media bed. The system returns to service position, filtering your water again.
